Open Positions

Youth Development Specialist (Part Time)

Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, to include Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health & Life skills, the Arts, Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Technology, and Socializing. Responsible for member discipline, daily program support, positive role modeling and development of positive adult relationships with Club members and their families. Assist with homework help, lead social skill groups, and recreational activities.

Volunteer

Volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County (BGCFC) is a meaningful way to contribute to the development and well-being of local youth. Our volunteers play a vital role in mentoring, tutoring, coaching, and supporting various programs that help children reach their full potential.

How it works:

Meet with BGCFC Staff:

After connecting with our Coordinator, you’ll schedule a meeting to discuss your skills, interests, and how you can best support our youth. This is a great time to ask questions and find the right fit for you.

Submit a Volunteer Application & Background Check:

To ensure the safety of our members, all volunteers must complete an official application and undergo a background check.

Participate in Orientation and Training:

Attend a volunteer orientation session to become familiar with our policies, procedures, and program offerings.

Volunteer Opportunities:

    • Program Volunteers: Assist with after-school activities, including homework help, arts and crafts, sports, and educational programs.

    • Special Events Volunteers: Support fundraising events, community outreach, and special projects that benefit the Club and its members.

    • Administrative Volunteers: Help with office tasks, mass mailings, and other administrative duties to support Club operations.
