With your dedicated support, we are going to reach even MORE youth this year with new programs starting up at Brunswick Middle School and Heather Ridge School. When you donate to Boys & Girls Clubs, your dollar is going BEYOND the walls of our Clubs!

Our new afterschool program at Brunswick Middle School is made possible with support from the Community Foundation of Frederick County, the City of Brunswick, and Brunswick Middle School.

“The BGC have been tremendous partners in helping us identify the community need and bringing their programming to Brunswick,” said Brunswick Mayor Nathan Brown. “We look forward to the ongoing work with them and their services in the Brunswick Community.”

To promote our new services in Brunswick, Club staff have held two “Open Gym” and STEM nights at Brunswick Middle after school, seeing about 25 youth come out to participate in each one!

Registration for our new Brunswick site can be found on our parent portal .

We also have a new partnership with Heather Ridge School. A team from Frederick County Public Schools and the Heather Ridge administration reached out to our staff to learn more about how our BGC programs could support students at the alternative school.

We came together to share more about the Club, highlighting programs like Passport to Manhood and SMART Girls which teach youth to develop a positive self image, form healthy relationships, set goals for their futures, and avoid risky behaviors that might derail those goals.

Site Director Mr. Isaiah is now volunteering in the school during the school day to lead Passport to Manhood for a group of 10 students. Facilitating our programs during the school day at a school we don’t typically provide transportation from allows us to expand our footprint and reach even MORE kids!
